Trance with lots of interest and depth.  Swirling strings and riffs, driving basslines and an uplifting feel.  Super track.

A cheeky Synth modulates at the start and the beat pounds out.  A suggestion of melody is lightly introduced before an early breakdown, then comes the theme introduced.  The string riffs and arpeggios shower over and develop into the central tune.  It drops back again a minute later ready for the finale.

A slowish start with simple drums and bassline, but with an interesting background tune. Then it drops in the rising and falling melody. It has several interesting pan/fading effects, but also a bit jagged in places. However, good overall.

A nice start with string pads and a fading arpeggio. It has a nice feel to it with and simple two-note structure. Then into a great, pounding drum beat with plenty of layers of pads, synths and bass, a satisfying combination with good build ups.

A brilliant start with some amazing panning and fading effects applied, with voice effects, a snare roll, then into some pounding beats, effectively modulated, then into a vary on the beat, simple but cool tune with great echo effects, followed by cool synth and sound effects and decent vocals. A cracker of a sunshine tune. I can't explain the rest of it, because by now I'm about to close my eyes and take my hand off the keyboard to listen to it uninterrupted.

A State Of Trance

Yep, nicely Mediterranean in feel.  Laid back and bright mixed together with some lush sounds.  Definitely walking along the beach scenario.  It does heavily rely on the arpeggio phrases to contain this tune, but does this well with distant sounding overlaying melody.

Rene Ablaze - Autumn Again

Further offering from Rene Ablaze, was previously on TB42.  This is a reworking on 'Autumn'.  Build ups galore to start, but it does get going around 3 minutes in where the arpeggios fill the speakers backed by the trademark deep bass and beats.  Then the strings are added to complete the feel before the breakdown.  The crescendo is added at the end with higher tones as the main theme returns.  Pretty Cool.

Effectively restrained bass provides strange background tonal quality to this one.  Some 80's synth feel mixed with driving beats combines nicely.  Modulations and simple chordal melody structure completed the picture.  A different heavy sound to it.

Squelchy Riffs start this one, then finds it's way 2.5 minutes in with some nice sound touches.  Solid trace track.

Majai - Lightwave

A beautiful tune.  Bringing layers forward and back, not in and out as you'd normally expect.  It changes feel in the middle slightly, not unpleasantly, and rolls back in nicely with a fantastic tuneful arpeggio blend, introducing and losing the beat effectively. A classic instrumental.

Quite an unusual beat and 'triple time' feel to this (don't ask what I mean by this, it's not easy to describe).  What I can describe is the melody, which is nicely thought over and crafted with a lovely bright stabby belly synth.  A deep and tough sounding squelchy bass returns underneath the final recall of the melody,  ultimately it's pleasurable to hear on my sennheiser cans!

Absolutely Magnificent uplifting TUNE!  This has to be one of my favourite and most played however unfortunately SHORTEST tunes to date.  Dreamy, Beautiful Synthesised Bliss whilst it lasts.  It's a damn shame it drops into oblivion at the end.  Prevented the 5 stars.

Simple repeated format, but nicely delivered from start to end.  The mainstay is the rolling panned strings and retro synth harmony.  Unusual drum elements, perhaps asian in origin, provides its additional distinction.

Bounding drum beats and basslines move this track along a journey pleasantly.  It drops in and out nicely to create interest, with nice use of reverse glassy synth sounds and a steady layers of melody that provides some fine quality.  Great addition to the collection.

As I listened to the initial sequenced sample in the first few notes, it seems this may not be perfectly or crisply produced, perhaps a home production?  However, glossing over the fact these sounds are not all necessarily top drawer, the tune delivers a really nice melody within slowly developed and released layers.  It's indeed very pleasant stuff.  There are of course some nice individual sounds right to the end note.

A real pounder bassline.  A superb trancer.  What a theme this has too!.  Excellent harmony, strings and sounds use to deliver the main theme.  Excellent vocals to boot, so easily can they ruin a track, this offers it at just the right level and quantity.

Definitely a heavier trance sound than normal for me this one.  However it's squelchy bassline and it's seemingly story-like delivery is excellent.  It starts thumping german trance, then goes briefly classical, then smoothly introduces the apreggaic epic thumping main centrepiece, awesome, it then throws it all in one pot! lol, well hit me with a hammer - it worked!!

Love the melody on this one.  Super synth sound to use.  Strings flow through and bring happiness and brightness, all driven with driving bassline.  Heck of a tune for the collection.  It does lose itself a tad after the main theme for a minute, lacking some inspiration at the bridge, however, back it comes good as when it started. Woohoo.

Has classical influences this one, I'd say it is somewhat a sad and reflective tune, but contrasts this feeling with the bright and happy sounds and driving drumbeats.  I think I understand what was trying to be achieved I hope.  Super tune.

As above, this one is Classical Based with it's chordal structure, well balanced with trance riffs and beats and buildup.  I like this kind of track.  Some may call it slightly cheesy, but I think this falls outside this.  Much of this is the same, but it builds up so you notice much less.

Takes about 3 minutes to find out what this track is to develop into.  Once that moment arrives, a slow string build up drops into a strange and wobbly synth, and synth arpeggios.  It's an uplifting melody.  Weird, but effective.  Remix also by Van Gelder & Cressida.

Pads and strings progressively keep this piece of music moving along.  It's a 10 minute epic episode that keeps your interest throughout.  After 5 minutes the main theme arises with superlative arpreggios.  An absolute must have.

Deep and searching basslines start this track, slipping into soft strings and sparkly introduction to the theme.   There is a lot of depth in this track including a stunning overlaying theme.  The wind down is great with gentle final shows of various elements of the track.

Adam Sheridan - Solus

Whilst it seems that this track uses some early sounding pads and synths sounds, it takes nothing away from a solid end product on the Tsunami label.  Sheridan has clearly talent on leaning on some elements of harder styles of trance and bringing these to make a uplifting offering.  Great tune.

This train takes some time to leave the station!  You really want it to move but it just sites there threatening.  Eventually though, it gets some movement, but never really excites the passengers.  Some nice decor inside, just didn't use it to great effect for my taste.

Surprisingly fresh this one.  I love the bright arpeggios in this track.  Some nice light touches of choral vocal, and syncapated synths with crackin' bassy offbeat drums in places, it's a fine inspired sound for the collection!  Drops into nothing at the end though, just drum and bassline, shame but doesn't spoil it.

A stunning tune.  The build up is captivating, and the main theme is worked in with suspense and driving sounds.  Manages to produce a rich blend of synth and string that creates a good deal of warmth to the overall sound.  Puts you right in the mood for more.

Selu Vibra - Stargazing (Original Mix)

This is the alternative mix to this track which appeared on TB74.   This has a deep bassline, classical trance stringlines and a twangy synth sets this apart from its original mix. Pretty reasonable track.

Danjo & Styles - Blue Woods

Captivating Sounds

It's one of two great mixes on the Forest EP.  Blue Woods is a softer pulsating trance track, with pleasant theme tune blended in with light introductions of the main theme.  It really depends on your taste and personal preference, but the Red Woods Mix is more concentrated in one hit on the powerful theme element after a long build up, with less breaks and offloaded in one go.

Kamil Polner - Heart Of Sun

Constantly makes us think theres the best bit coming and it never arrives.  Although this may be harsh, this track just doesn't quite let us have something to fire the imagination or make the head bounce, its more of a filler track whilst you find the anthem out the collection.  Sounds are decent enough though.

Awesome, Leon produces quality again.  Some slightly harder sounds in here but craftily balanced with strings and other lighter synths to mix nicely.  Stabbing synths are the mainstay and are syncapated with others making this a delightful track to listen to.

This track is superbly anthemic.  Lightness of touch on the theme synth with the deepest driving basslines. What Jean-Michelle Jarre could learn is all here!  Full of the stuff I look out for in trance.  Brilliant.

Had much deliberation about this one at first, but it has grown on me.  Starts with a high powered synth then gently drops into warm strings and a theme of sorts, keeping this level through to the end.  Not for everyone I suppose, as you could say it never found it's potential Zenith.

Both interesting and tuneful, this remix uses innovative sounds to keep your interest.  Highly tuneful too.  Waves of synths flood this brilliant track.  Nicely crafted and melodic throughout.

Kyau vs Albert - Falling Anywhere (Rework)

Falling Anywhere is a B Side track.  Wrongly so I think.  The A side was pants in my opinion, but this had more to offer the ears.  Lush development of synth sounds and drum elements introduce a rolling trancer up there in quality with the best of them.  Only downside is the break in the middle, it had no particular reason to be so dull, it's only 40 seconds then the main theme returns anyway.

Blending the rough with the smooth is evident in this track.  The basslines and atmospheric synths are deep and earthy.  They blend with the main theme really well.  Then, as the strings and melodic riffs join, this track gets a different feel.  Uplifting melody albeit fairly simple perhaps.  A joy to listen to.

Now this one is your party gatecrasher!  What the hell is this you'd say.  Dark, banging hard trance, yet it's a real dancefloor head bouncing smash in my books.  It has a few stabby synth & vocal breaks in parts, which may stop everyone dead, so It take a brave introduction, but boy this does this break the speakers when turned right up, that's just what you need to do, more amplifiers required lads!  Genius German Trance!  Delightful stuff.

Shaun Baker - Deep (Melino Original Mix)

The B Side, and I reckon the sinister brother to the A-Side.  Thumping great Full-On bass thumping in your head and in your chest, topped by ticking clock and Big Ben type Bells.  Some fab male talking lyrics, supported throughout by a superb main stabbing synth tune.  Absolute class!  Nothing ever can compare to the way this sounds.  A genuine piece of art, fully appreciated by martinsland.

An awful lot of work went into this I suspect, as this is a huge sounding trance tune.  There is not a gap in the headphones for more sound as every nook and cranny is filled.  Like it lots.

You have expectations when you read Micro De Govia, generally, you know there a tuuuuune coming.  This is a real grower but it isn't the best when compared to previous works.  It's rapid fire synths and pads are there but in and around a confined space.  Still cool though.

Lots of pleasant build up on this one, eagerly awaiting the summit.  Thickly sequenced with varying effects, this instrumental has quality throughout.  Grows on you.

I remember the first Elles De Graaf track, absolute delight.  This Ferry Corsten mixed offering is a delight too.  The work on the vocals is great, inspired, filling the atmosphere.  The main theme is awesome, superb choice of synth, and the main theme itself is brilliant.

Yum !  I love the arpeggios, which is the mainstay of this track, their sustains are altered long and short to bring extra feeling to the track.  The main theme is simple three note affair up and down scales, but works so well.  Banging thumping instrumental trance, very tasty !

Quality trance with prominent strings and subtle piano accompaniment for the main sections, and all the other required element you need.  Just a stunner of a tune.  Even the build ups are full of interest.

This is a really nice track, but it doesn't stick out  amongst the crowd.  This is a fabulous mid mix track or to change moods, it has some interesting elements.  warm strings and subtle theme lines come and go fluently.  Harmless yet intriguing walk by the beach type stuff.

Ferry Corsten - Star Traveller (Hydroid vs Zehavi & Rand Remix)

Our friend Ferry Corsten is at last back onside with this mix of Star Traveller.  This particular mix brings driving riffs through the track, and only in this mix bells that drop over investing some form of melody to the track.  The other mix was good, and almost made it here instead.

Pervading Call Two - On My Mind (Ace Da Brain Mix)

You cannot fault Ace Da Brain mixes, and this is yet another perfect example.  Every time... the sound is simply incredible, with so much depth it fills your senses.  The build ups can induce tears of emotion, the rest, involving various energy and euphoria.  No doubt in my mind that this encompasses the whole point of trance music.  I applaud this in every sense, as the music reaches all your senses. Top Quality Trance.

Strings and synths combine with multiple layering.  A cool and intersting track.  Some rather raw sounds and a pumping beat provides a great trance track.  Sometimes you feel the sequencing structure in the music (Can't explain that in words sorry).

Here's a wild one for the collection.  But I couldn't resist because of the sound this produces.  The lyrics are somewhat suggestive, but it's all part of the package.  Wild synth sequencing and a great melody line makes this one for the collection.  Short sub 4 minute track.

This was the A-Side, but much the side-kick to the Labyrinth B Side.  Although it has lovely sounds it has a more subtle tune to it, and stays pretty much at a middle level, not rising to any heights.  Good tune none-the-less.

Haunting and melodic, with touches of eastern influence.  I like the bouncy nature of the track though, and warm pads that surround the theme.

It takes a while to work out where this track is taking you, but one the driving arpeggios get going it really fills the room.  A stunning example of diversity possible in a track.  One minute on the beach with a tequila, then your off your head eyes closed waving limbs mercilessly around you!  Oh ok, perhaps I've had one too many.

You have to wait for the first break to hear the main part of this track, it's all build up.  Once those raspy synths hit the eardrums it's quite cool.  The driving bassline pushes this one along nicely.

Really like this one.  Has all the classic bits you need for a happy dancefloor.  Vocals are sharp and blended nicely in a striking quality track.  Has done the rounds in the clubs this one, and deserves a spot on martinsland.  Class!

A cracking synth that protrudes though the strings and bassline throughout this tune.  Somehow even though the tune stays much the same it keeps you interested.  Good solid instrumental track.

Its a nice track, makes you feel like you are travelling through the cosmos.  It gives you the feeling of a journey.  Dangers and delights.  It's got Piano, synth riffs, and all bits we like.  Just needed an extra 'something'.

This one has been in the charts, this mix gives it a nice flavour I think.  A deep lustre of musical flavour mixed with a vocal to complement.  Tuneful dancefloor track.

Highly Developed track.  Filo and Peri are of course accomplished producers.  Lots of character in the tune, squelchy synths, solid basslines and the smattering of strings to blend nicely.

Yes, you are not seeing things, this is the second appearance of this track on TB68.  However, let's call it  a reprise, and as this is so different from the Sonic Inc Mix it may as well be added here again.  Had to be included here because it has rather nice hard trance synth in the main theme.  A Tougher track than usual for me, but ohh! what a synth sound!

Leon – Passionate (Subsphere Remix)

This track really doesn’t get going at all, but the track bounces along and adds strings (albeit wobbly sounding) and some fairly nice synths.  However, It just doesn’t take off in any way though, so It doesn’t seems to fit into a melodic track nor a progressive one.  I suppose a nice chilled track.   The Fire and Ice Mix was ok, but for me rather disappointing for their standards.

This is the B-Side to “All Day”.  This has Arpeggios and a good melody.  A good head bouncing tune this one.  Totally instrumental with nicely crafted build-ups.  Loads of volume will have you tapping your feet.

Some nice vocal effects, some over done, but the overall track is well constructed and has a cool main melody.  Some Ibiza sounds added for that sunny island feel, but mainly this pumps out when in the main theme.  I like it.

Fantastic B Side track from the Belgium Producer.  The A side ‘Confirmation’ which has been supported by Tiesto is ok, but repetitive and with less ‘flavour’, this B-Side offering is a quality tune.  Stunning synth melody over a well crafted base of synth and strings and a pumping beat.  Gotta give this 5 stars.  Keep up the good work Fred.  One for Armin Van Buuren's box I suspect.

Ian Betts & Oceanforce – Polarise (Original Remix)

Judge Jules has supported this quality trancer.  The Original mix being more interesting with more movement.  The Factoria has their stamp on it but I feel it lost something in the Remix.   Paul van dyke, Graham Gold and Dave Pearce supporting.

What a great track.  Very catchy and full of richness for your ears.  Both the mixes are great, but the Gareth Emery mix for me captures the right feelings and rocks big time.  To prove it, play the Concept Mix and you’ll think…’if only they added that main melody from the Gareth Emery Mix it would be perfect’ (if there’s such a thing!) ;-)

A Insanely tuneful and well made track.  Nice string build-ups and pumping drums.  It’s mostly instrumental with some samples and choral elements.  A piano theme joins in later in the track to complement the melody.  I like the track title too.  This tuuuune! features on Trancemaster 4006.

A bright and energetic track.  Highs and lows, quiet then pumping, all these various elements making this a magical tune to listen to.  Especially when the main theme builds up and breaks out.  Superb.

A track for late in the set.  A slow paced chillout track to cool the punters down a tad.  But in the middle of this a nicely reverberated melody starts, then it builds to a rather nice Chilled more upbeat Trance track repeating the haunting melody.  A proud entry to the collection.  I’ll darned if I can find anything on this artist though!

Ron Hagen & Pascal M – On Stream Remixes (JJ Project vs PGZ Remix)

Ron Hagen and Pascal M(aka Signum) get a nice remix done of the original classic, and thought it was time I put this track on here.  The whole track is a journey.  Close your eyes and enjoy the string and synths play some magic.

A Banging Harder Trance number, which makes a bit of a change for me.  It starts forceful and hard, then it drops a mile and a half to a decent uplifting synth lead taking it into a breakbeat build up and the thumping storm of a tune.  Where’s me paracetemol !

Released in November, it took me  a few months to finally decide to get this as this Mix is stunning.  Ferry Corsten in the System F disguise finally back with a release worthy of entry.  This solid Globe Mix has a superb arpeggio synth that fills the track.  Deep raw basslines and dreamy strings on top.  Breakbeat section nicely breaks it up.  Then the main melody rockets this outta site!  Absolute Stunner!

Unknown Source – Creuentus (Exertion Remix)

 Top Top Tuuune!!  Unknown source released this beauty in November 04, and It’s on my all time fave list.  Whatever you do…don’t miss out on this one!  Full of arpeggios and strings, floaty melodies and twinkly bits, just breathtaking.  Not bad for a youngster!  His other storming track was Nadjenema.  He has an alias of ‘Yamino’.

N-Trance – I’m In Heaven (Kenny Hayes Remix)

Yep, this has been a big hit, and is quite commercial, but the Kenny Hayes Remix fits in the collection nicely – Tranced up enough to blend in here.  Vocal Club Trance at it best.

Midor & Six4Eight – Mirage

The best thing about this track is the synth that leads the melody, dramatic and full of energy.  A great tune then blasts out.  The track takes a few minutes to get there, but it’s worth the wait.  Surrounding the main theme is to me, more just filler for the best bit in the middle.

The first of two solid uplifting trance tunes on this upcoming Italian label.  Recently pushing out some quite decent tunes.  Some may think dated in sound or perhaps quality, but you cannot argue they are not tuneful and catchy tracks.  This one, a bouncy euro style trancer with a woodwind sounding lead synth.

The B-Side track to Bed of Clouds.  Slightly more harder bassline, offset by lighter elements overlayed.  Strings, Bells and other synths.  The odd sample quoting the track title before the fat lead synth riff pounds in.  Good Stuff.  It’s not usual I listen to Roman Music!

The Fred Baker Mix is on the Flip side and is by far the better mix.  An Armin Van Buuren Favourite, this has class and AVB style about it.  A classic already.  A Smooth and epic track progressing through its phases nicely.

Little Wonder – Eclipse (Leama & Moor Mix)

A lightly Melodic trance track, some say progressive.  But this bounces along with some smooth sounding synths.  Little Wonder has their root in this ‘feel’ of track.  Leama & Moor though brings this to life beautifully.  Gorgeous track!

Altitude – Sunray (Airwave Remix)

Altitude (aka Steve Gibbs) brings us another great trancer.  Airwave providing the truly great feel to this tune.  The Main theme is both anthemic and Melodic.

Seashells – Falling Under (Club Mix)

 A mix of chillout elements and melodic trance.  This also uses highly reverbed gates to give this track depth.  Needed a little something more to make it special though.  Overall a pretty good listen.

Another great track from solarstone with scott bonds influence evident.  Lots of great sounds and movement throughout.  Laid back in places and punchy in other areas.  Lots of layers to feast your ears on!

There are many subtleties in this track that make this rather special.  They call this 'progressive trance', and although I don't fully know what that is I like this one.  This is cheery and has a flowing style, with a sharp flute sound overlaying a brilliantly produced background.  Brilliant.

A State Of Trance

Two lovely tracks by the crew 'Outback'.  By far the more Epic is the Basic Draft Mix.  It starts with a classical string intro.  Once into the cutting bassline and drums, gradual introduction of strings and synths eventually introduce the theme.  A highly worked and brilliantly made track.  This is made of many elements, even though thoughtfully quiet at times, are both innovative in sound and structure, and I have to point out that the last 3 minutes are simply magic !!! Wow!

Above & Beyond feat Zoë Johnson - No One On Earth (Original Mix)

Nice vocals from Zoë Johnson ensure this simple but effective dance track hits the spot.  There is also a nice Gabriel & Dresden mix on the flip. Original and best though in this case.

aka Andy Hagerty & Greg Murray.  Simple and effective tune based around a simple structure.  It essentially works various elements into and around a repeating theme.  Avoids being boringly repetitive though by using interesting syths and other sounds, thereby keeping your interest.

Syncapated beats and superb synths in this track.  Use of panning is subtle and effective.  Highly worked too, with many layers to keep your ears warm.  Never crescendo's though.

Strange concoction of sounds start this out, building slowly up to the first break.  A electric light guitar twangs, with probing strings, melting into another quiet break.  Synths build, emotional elements rise, taking you to a plateau with strings and drums.  Not epic by any means.  I think they likes to put as many synths in here as possible.  A keyboard extravaganza, yes, but without any real melody.  

Matt Darey presents Li Kwan – Point Zero 2004 (Agnelli & Nelson Remix)

Right from the off, you can hear the quality, the bassline driving the setup.  Beautiful Chorals and Deep throaty squelchy synths, join the arpeggios to bring a wonderful electronic tune of some elegance.  It's a real story, reminiscent perhaps of a space travel theme.  Don't know if this would have a video for it, but it'd make a great mid movie chase scene.  This is highly rated due to it's brilliantly worked complexity and that it evokes an enjoyable journey.  Fab.

Deep Orbit – Air (Genix Deep Mix)

A right head bouncer this one.  Not in a heavy way, just in that you know what it's about from the beginning.  Lovely modulated strings and a underlying simple bassline and synth lines.  Uncomplicated and agreeable track to stick on your headphones.

Phalanx – I’m Alive (Manian Remix)

A heavier entry into the fold now... The track has a super female vocal telling the story with echoes and Pads.  The strings follow the build up brilliantly, until the apreggios arrive.  Building up and up to the intro for the later main theme.  A pounding bassline and synth riffs involve you at this point, then into the final break down once more before the awaited last burst of theme.  Good quality harder Euphoric Trance.

Alucard vs Yana Kay – Eyes Of A Perfect Stranger (Will Holland’s Blue Room Remix)

Vocals from Yana Kay on this rather average tune.  This is quite european I think, and only has a mild trance feel at first.  Then the synths arrive, now it's trance we all know and love.  This is the only element of the track that brings it here.  Nothing too spectacular just good clean trance format.

The B side to Little Prince, this is another unusual track, but a pretty good sound once it gets going.  Shame the sample vocals aren't quite fitting though, you can almost guess they were picked from a CD collection of Trance samples.  Another negative point would be that it travels nowhere.  On the plus side, it's got a nice bouncy feel to it and some good synth & string sounds.

Solid Slide - Burning Flame

A big room Trancer with a big fat synth hook in the main theme.  It finishes as it starts but in the middle is just a sublime banging tune.  One more repeat of the main tune was required on this track though.

Potential to be an Anthem!  Especially as this consists of only 2 chords!  Simplicity itself.  It takes an age to get to the good stuff, but I just love the synth hook.  There's not quite enough of the good stuff though, not that it degrades the enjoyment but it ended too soon for my liking, it should have elaborated a little.

This has been doing the rounds for so long I have lost track, but I have just grabbed the release on Monster records for the collection.  I welcome this Classic Anthem that will remain a favourite for years and years to come!  An Awesome bit of production!!  What a tune, right up to the last groove on the vinyl!!!!

Menno De Jong - Guanxi (Original Mix)

Both the Super 8 Mix and the Original Mix are fantastic in their own way.  The 'original' takes you on more of a journey with the melody, introducing the ghostly melody early on in the build up, whereas the Super 8 Mix hits you with more sounds and effects and has more fullness to the main synth and the whole tune gets more depth to it, also it's much more clubby.  It is really difficult to choose between these two mixes, but I guess for pure length I'll choose the Original Mix (actually I had both here for a while, was so confused!!)

Empyreal Sun & Elles De Graaf - From Dark To Light (Lange Remix)

Ok.  I do like this track.  It is great sounding and evidently well produced, but lacks another main section, blast it all in one go and then it ends, hmmm.  It takes an eternity to get to the best bit too.  So, Great Chorus at the last third of the vinyl then, about sums it up.! C'mon Lange, where's the stuff you used to mix & write, it's still what people want! 

Halifax - Age Of Innocence (Original Mix)

Lots of slow build up on this.. which is fine, and then it takes you you into the main section with a rather retro sounding synth, which sounds right with the rest of this track.  It hasn't given us anything spectacular, but would do the business in the middle of a set.

A fine, well worked track.  Atmosphere with chanting haunting vocals, and loads build up all over the place, nearly 5 minutes worth!  This original mix is a gem, but for the Darren Tate fans there's also his mix on the flip side.  Sure to be effective as a start of your set or to change the mood!

Jezper - Monastary Hill (Original Mix)

A fabulously rich synth Trance Monster from Afterglow.  Awesome sounds and structure.  I just love to play this one really loud to hear all the subtleties.  Just Stunning!  Maybe I'd have added the uplifting section on more time, where it moves up a scale.

4 Strings - Turn It Around (Sandler Instrumental Mix)

There are several mixes of this track, and it was difficult to pick one out that had what I believe had the best structure.  The sounds in the Sandler Instrumental had the right feel for TB62.  Although I almost put the vocal in, it didn't sound right.

Jose Amnesia - The Eternal (Nu NRG Mix)

The Nu NRG mix is a great mix for this track, although the pulser mix is a big fave for the clubs which is on another vinyl.  Either way this is a club monster.  Check out the chilled sunrise track for headphones and relaxing, and the orginal mix too.

Two israeli producers produces this storming uplifting tune.  The original is melodic and uplifting.  Certainly a great track for the dance floor. The breakdown is awesome and builds brilliantly to the main theme. When the massive melody enters, it's quite dramatic. The beat goes on and the massive climax moves into a slightly relaxing atmospheric feel.

String and synths start to tempt you in to what is about to unleash.  A mix of harsh and soft synths build you up, take you down again, the change of feel with driving bassline and choral sound, then wham!  The main theme unleashes and you're caught turning up the volume, lovely piano and fat strings that give you the shivers!. Fantastic Tunage!

A vocal trancer that has some really nice touches including the main synth lead tune and has a nice driving feel to it.  The lyrics are fine except I cant hear what she sings on one word, I think she sings "Armid"? (email me if ya know what she's singing if you have the record!) Anyway, it's a reasonable trance tune.

John "00" FLEMING - I'm Not Fooled (Global Tranced Groove Mix)

Very unusual for me to buy a John 'oo' Fleming record, as he is normally a bit on the housey -tip for my liking, but this one has a fab feel to it with the panpipe type synth sound driving bass line.  Definately the GTG mix for this track though, the other one is totally sleep-inducing!

Some of the most original sounds I've heard in ages starts this one off.  A real head bouncer.  Lots of brilliant interweaving elements.  Then in it breaks down, and drops you to a quiet lull, gentle arpeggios and strings build and interweave again...then more, then drops you back into the theme again.  Pleasant and satisfying.

MK S - Illuminate (Mind One Remix)

A strong Trance tune, with upfront synths and rolling bass line.  The track never loses touch of where it needs to be, and kicks in the main theme again even after several minutes of great production, keeping the punters glued to the dance floor throughout. Love syncopated 'plinky' sounds in there too, subtle and effective to give some added variety.

Another quality trance tune by Mike Smith, his handycraft is certainly widely seen of late.  A superb mix on the flip side bring this offering into the collection.  There is little in the way of anything different offered here but a well constructed banging tune that fits in any mixers box of vinyl.  I particularly like the synths that are added later in the track, squelching all over the place, shame they are only for 30 seconds or so.

Now here's something different, a nice groove to this track.  OK, so it doesn't go anywhere in particular, same few chord structures repeating, but somehow this doesn't matter.  Needs a brave DJ though to plop this one on the decks mid session!  Fantastic build ups and sounds though.  I like it!

Scirocco - Scirocco (Shane 54 Remix)

This is an emotional tune!  Subtle build ups to start, no idea what it's going to do...then it flows into a gentle theme tune.  Loads of time without so much as a bass drum but it's close your eyes time and wait for the drums to kick in.  A quality tune.  Even the vinyl is quality (feels an inch thick!).

Fantastic!!!! Talk about save the best until last!  The first 4 or 5 minutes you think, ok this is nice, then the main theme builds up and WOW! What a cracking sound, great production, and it continues to get better and better.  All the elements I would stuff into a truly great anthem, just wish it went one more time into the main theme, just another minute was needed at the end.

Something lightly bouncy had to follow Digital Diva, so Candee Jay does this nicely, a vocal trance offering with juicy melodic lead synth.  Unusual for Incentive.  She is a good looker, and she has a cracking website, www.candeejay.com too!

Has some very jean-michele Jarre type synths in this track.  Absolutely beautiful.  An instrumental wet dream.  My only point would be that I wish it went that a few steps further into the journey to make it epic or euphoric, which it doesn't do.

Has a nice piano and big driving synths, a few melodic breaks and lush strings and deep basslines.  It's emotional and a joy to listen to.  This one has to be my favourite on TB60.

The B-Side to Serenade - Serenade.  Fairly progressive track to start with that bounces along.  Then from about half way an acoustic piano bring back in the main theme backed up by squelchy synths and lead synths.  A strange but rather pleasant melodic track.

A tough sounding trance track with Gated synths and low bounding bassline.  Over the top later in the track comes strings and a simple recurring melody.  Simple and effective.  Good quality too.  This for me beats the release that follows this "That track with the piano on it" as the bassline on it was truly uninspiring!

This is a track by Armada's Perry O'Neil & Ferruccio Trebaldi and comes with a fantastic remix by Genix, but the Original has all the elements I like and a fab tune and good energy once it kicks in.

Well, I think this is a good listen, but something about the background repetitive synth arpeggio give this a rather flat sound, although in places it does its best to lift it up.  Still like it though and I give it the thumbs up. 

Brian Eno - An Ending (leama & Moor Remix - Ascent)

This has to be the strangest vinyl I have purchased, and you know what, I love it!  If I had to liken it to something it would be the soundtrack to 'The Beach 2' if it ever was made.  It's a quiet and thoughtful tune that really gets your head moving when the coral bits drop in.  'Reverse' sounds are it's trademark.  What a scorcher!

Another Firewall production which as expected is of a high quality.  This has a purposely slow intro. but moves into some nice sounds and elements.  This track has a nice theme but lacks originality on the breakdowns.  I like it though, it can be best used as a breakdown to get the crowds wanting the big epic tune.

An pretty good tune!  More electronic wizardry - Gated synths and nicely sounding (almost distant) solo synth to bring the theme in over the top.  It rolls nicely from the main part to the breakdown too, perhaps needed a little longer to bring the main theme in again with massive strings.  Great track though.

Robert Nickson - Spiral

Starts slowly and then builds with tough squelchy synths over the drums leading.  Then teasingly into the main theme which is dreamy and epic sounding with upbeat drums, synth strings and those squelchy basslines running the show.

Double sider this one with 'Samoa' on the A Side, but for me the one with more movement is Para Siempre.  Both tracks are nicely made, Samoa definitely more on the Progressive side, Para Siempre has more to listen to and sounds much like a Ibiza sunset late night track to wind the crowd down with.  Smashing stuff.

Another cracking remix by solarstone.  This has all their trademark sounds and is laid back with that Late Night feeling.  Ok, some may find this 'plodding', but I like it.

Filo & Peri (aka Whirlpool) provided this ok B side track called Spectrum, I felt the a side "1:95" track had not enough energy.  This is chillout almost, but has nice sounds and is nice to relax and listen to.

Deepest Blue are Joel Edwards and Matt Schwartz.  They have produced a quality release here with Is It A Sin.  The Antillas Remix Is the B Side, which blows away the cicadas Stadium mix in my opinion.  Dare I say the style is "Safri Duo-Like!".  Oh, and I like the way it ends..unusual.

Airwave produces a really nice uplifting mix of Clear Blue.  The orignal is deeper in feel.

Deceptive start to this track, it's tough, then the melodic synths and strings send shivers down yer spine, and it opens up into a calming lull, then whop! gated synths tear you into an epic sounding track.  Just love the way this builds up, culminating with a nice piano melody sprinkled over the top...beautiful.  There's not a vocal in sight, nice!

Rank 1 - It's Up To You (Original Mix)

Although released in January, I've mulled this one over and listened to it more recently and wondered why I didn't included it here, oh well, here it is.  This is an enormous vocal trancer, and the track has some very nice synth sounds.  Takes a bit to get going but once in the upbeat section its uplifting and has some really nice lead lines.  If I had to make a criticism it would be that it drops in and out of the uplifting section too much I think.

What Airbase touches normally turns into a gem, so there's no change here either.  A melodic nugget.  Stunning gated & lead synths powering the track forward and adds real dance floor appeal, matched by the bassline melody.  A must have!!

This has a sweet muted-trumpet synth that introduces this fine track.  Lovely trance stabs and great movement.  This could be played anywhere in a set.  Great stuff from "The Girl" of Trance.  The Matrix Dub blows away the DiTo mix on the flipside.

The Hardstuff that is Alphazone pumps out this aptly named Rockin Track!  This has wicked drums and hard basslines and synths, but the melody uses a particularly nice fat synth that will reverberate the club upside down, what a scorcher.

Although Ferry Corsten has changed tack somewhat, this one is a beautiful blend of chilled stuff and real emotional uplifting sections.  The piano during the main section holds the tune together nicely alongside some sweet choral sounds.  Top tune.

Yep.  The B Side to Pole Position, this is also a fantastic track.  It's slightly less Anthemic, but it really has an awesome Melody and energy too.  Only small gripe is the over-use of reverse symbols sample.  All part of it though! Good Stuff!

For the harder trance fans the B-side has the Three Drives Remix, but the Inzite mix was more my taste.  Thunders along a long straight road for a long time, then gives you a little something to cater for your dancing feet, a nice all rounder this! Rather strange Label, strange spelling of the track name and a strange Artist name.  I think whomever they are, they don't do trance normally, but pulled out a nice quick hard trance gem without knowing.  Not the best, but sounds pretty damn good here!

Was I looking for another Insigma masterpiece of yester-year?  Yep, probably.  Did I find it? Erm, not quite, no.  This promises so much, but it rather drifts sideways, so you have to accept this as is....a reasonable effort.  Leave it out of the record box, but plop headphones on and drift into another place, lovely.

Needs a few minutes to get going, then you'll get some fab Dutch sounding German Trance.  Confused? Well it all makes sense when you hear it.  Kyau & Albert are off the Euphonic label who produce some stunning Trance of this type.  Has some bald patches on the track but it all blends nicely.

Not much I can tell you about the artists Mr Finn and Mr Cross yet, but the track is structured simply and has some nice sounds.  It doesn't give any wow factor, but just sounds good. I've given it a Low score as it goes nowhere in particular.

One of the best tracks I've heard in a long time.  Fantastic sounds and beautiful melody.  This is one classy Dance Anthem.  Strings and all the bits n bobs you'd want in a Trance Anthem.  It's as the tile says 'epic'.

Marc Aurel - Sound Of Love

I was worried when I unwrapped this one.  But It had Rank 1 and Marc Aurel Mixes on it, could I go wrong?  Well, it was touch and go as the Vocals were on all but 1 mix, and the instrumental was not exciting enough.  So the best one was the Rank 1 Remix, as everything blended as well as it could.  It was the vocals and the blending from the chorus and the verse, it all sounds slapped together, but after a few listens you may warm to it too.

Vector 7 - Mauvais Souvenirs

Dutch Trance both rough and smooth at the same time.  I like this.  It's a mush of styles that just works.  Synth tune over a thumping bassline.  Another fine Vector 7 release.

If I was to pick a Signature Tune to Martinsland, it would be this one.  It it just superb!  An emotional track that takes you on a journey.  If there were 6 stars rating, this would be the one to receive it.  From a label I have not heard of before, comes this little gem.  Has the most beautiful breakdown in the middle and then it unleashes heaven.  Unless the crowd is ready for a long pause it would be dead on the dancefloor, but right for headphones and personal pleasure.  Full volume for full effect!  Stunner!

AJP - Summer Wave (Andy Jay Powell's Mix)

Andy Jay Powell (aka AJP) has done a fair mix on the original, but dare I say not the best cookie in the jar this, but it has some nice touches.  Mixture of Chicane styling, tough synths sounds and an Ibiza sunset feeling to it, perhaps this is what confuses the tracks real identity.  Nice and bouncy though.

Platipus bringing out a hard sounding track, mixed by Hemstock & Jennings (the fab duo) but their mix didn't grab me as much as the Dub version.   Good offering Platipus!  Nice main Synth sound.

This I bought purely on the strength of their previous two offerings which were god-like, the two tracks on this vinyl was not quite up to the same standard, it's a capable theme this one, but without slating it too much, it does lack any real highlight in the track.

Yes, it's commercial, but it's a great track and deserved to be in the collection.  The B-Side had 'The Mystery Remix', equally good, but let's hear it for getting it right first time ey!  Nice Vocals!  4 Strings really showing they can pull off great tracks with un-airing ease!

4 Vinyls in the EP.  The best and only decent track in my opinion was this one.  Another Hemstock and Jennings Remix, boy do they do some remixing lately!  Sounds of the east and sounds of the west collide in this original sounding belter.  Stunning Arpeggios and build-ups, who knows what the samples say, if anything?!

Another offering on the Mondo Label, and that Darren Tate is busy again combining this time with Mike Koglin to produce a decent enough track.  Its good, but not a totally inspiring track.  Vocals are ok and do it justice, but there is just something missing.

 My word!  I've bought a Platipus record this year, unbelievable!  Don't tell me they're going to make some decent tracks from now on!  I wondered when they'd get some trance tracks produced again, they've done far too much House style stuff.  In this RAH offering, it's blown me away.  Such an awesome track to get immersed in.  The A side (called 'Glow') is not as good but nonetheless listenable, but 'Wave' on the B side has a more epic feel and makes you feel great anytime of day or night!  Stunning.

Vector 7 Meets Blair Bitch - Leprechaun

You can consider this a double A sider!  Both Leprachaun and Natural Thing are good tracks, perhaps Natural Thing a little more on the progressive side.  Leprachaun for me has more appeal.

G&M Project - Out Of Your Mind (Robert Gitelman Remix)

Some nice raw synth sounds in this one, which seems to blend well in this tough sounding trance track.  This brings a nice flavour when the strings and theme drifts in and out.  Just needed an additional melody on top I think to give it a place to go.

What can you say about this track other than it's just stunning!  This has appeared on so many compilations since I got it.  Had to give it the full 5 stars.  This appeals to the Anthem lovers out there as well as the all out dance freaks!  Such quality sounds and a melody to die for.  Unmissable.

The Mystery - Feel For You (Dub Edit Mix)

Two mixes on the vinyl which are equally good.  I've picked the instrumental, but the vocal is just right for the more commercial trance music lovers out there. A good pounding melodic trance track in both cases, what you'd expect from The Mystery.

 A good 'Mix' track, breaks down nicely and drops into a great sounding tune.  Strings, deep basslines and the obligatory thumping drums.  Turn up your Sub Woofers!
